Colorado Walking/Hiking Sticks

Colorado Walking and Hiking Sticks are hand-crafted one at a time and not mass produced. Your walking/hiking stick will be personalized to your specifications, size, inscription, etc. Inscriptions such as "Follow your Dreams" or "Climb every Mountain can be wood-burned on the stick or whatever you would like. Generally it takes us about a week and a half to complete an order. Choose from one of our unique designs or request a custom design.

The cost of our walking/hiking sticks are $79.00

Some take longer to carve than others, but we try to keep the cost at a level that is reasonable for you.

Shipping charges are around $15.00 via UPS ground service.

We are now carving canes made from Red Cedar or Aspen.

How to measure for your walking stick or cane

Measure from the floor to the crease in the wrist. The arms must be hanging in the normal position while the person is standing. If the person is 70 years or older you may want add another inch to the length. This is because older folks begin to lose a little height in the upper torso.

 

 

 

 

 

To measure for a walking stick; measure from the floor to the hand as it would be if the person was holding a ski pole or a broom handle.

Who carves my walking stick?

Some years ago, I started carving hiking/walking sticks from dead Aspen Trees to give to friends and my teachers. I am a retired school principal. I had many requests to carve sticks for friends. I am now retired, but busy carving sticks. I would be honored to carve a stick for you.
